The marquetry figures in this folding screen are about 80% life size. This gave me the opportunity to put a lot of detail in the picture, like the brass parts on the trumpet and the strings on the instruments. The wooden instruments are easy to depict in marquetry for obvious reasons. Two of the players are famous jazz musicians. Perhaps someone out there can identify them?
