From time to time I am posting marquetry pictures from friends. This panel is by Larry McCulloch. Larry took my class years ago in Colorado. At the end of classes I was in the habit of suggesting that if people had made something they wanted to share with me I would be pleased to take a look.
Years after having taken the class Larry sent me this image. It is a panel on the inside of a door of a vehicle he was working on. A creative and unusual use of marquetry. I really like the graphic quality of the artwork and think it works well in marquetry.
This is the kind of thing that makes teaching gratifying.
